The long-awaited meeting with the writer Max Kidruk in European cities!
Ukrainian writer, science popularizer, and publisher Max Kidruk is going on a European tour to promote his novel Colony — the first book of the science fiction series New Dark Ages.
At the presentation, Max Kidruk will talk about the foundation of the story: political and climate changes on Earth at the beginning of the 22nd century, scientific and technological achievements, the development of medicine, and the consequences of the russian-Ukrainian war. The focus of the talk is also the Mars colonization and the social cataclysms that could affect the Colonies on the Red Planet with more than a hundred thousand inhabitants.
«This is sci-fi with a hard realistic and scientific basis, in which I depicted one of the worst future scenarios. And you probably won’t like it. But I am consciously leading this conversation so that the fictional picture does not become reality,» — says the author about the event.
In addition, Max Kidruk will present non-fiction books by the Bearded Tamarin Publishing House and talk about how to start a publishing house in Ukraine during a full-scale invasion. After the presentation, guests will be able to purchase the novel Colony and other books from the publishing house, get an autograph, and take a photo. The language of the event is Ukrainian.
The tour is on a charity basis. Profit collected from merch and books will be sent to partners: the Volunteer Headquarters Angar and the charitable foundation Library Country.
